Original painting ‘Be Kind MK II’ acrylic on canvas.

Following her passing, I felt compelled to try and paint Caroline (Flack).  This was my first portrait. It’s heart breaking that anyone should feel that alone and desperate they think ending their life is the only solution. And a stark reminder our words and behavior towards everyone matters and we should always ask if that were the last way you spoke to someone, would that be ok? But we also need to remind ourselves no matter how hard things get, there is always someone who is there for you.

During my exhibition in May I repainted the background and felt its now complete with the shimmering gold cascading behind Caroline, and I really feel it completes her.
